XALT Energy hosted the Regional Response Team Network

Midland, MI – XALT Energy hosted the Regional Response Team Network, or RRT January 25th. The RRT conducted joint hazardous material and technical rescue training at XALT Energy’s Midland, MI facility. XALT Energy is a lithium-ion battery manufacturing company that supplies energy storage solutions for commercial transportation, marine, and industrial applications. “XALT Energy has the perfect large indoor area for training, where real–life training scenarios can be conducted,” said Chief Rob Glenn of the Bangor Township Fire Department. CEO of XALT Energy, Richard R. Cundiff, III said, “XALT Energy is proud that we are able to offer our facility to our area emergency response teams for the benefit of their training and the safety of our community.”

The RRT was created by 14 mid-Michigan counties; which include Alcona, Arenac, Bay, Gladwin, Genesee, Huron, Iosco, Lapeer, Midland, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Saginaw, Sanilac and Tuscola to make up Region 3. Team membership is made up of firefighters from Bay, Midland, and Saginaw county fire departments. The team provides training and response to hazardous material and technical rescue incidents.
