Next Stop for City Buses with XALT Energy Batteries: New York City!

New Flyer of America Inc. announced that the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority, will launch its electric bus test and evaluation program of five Xcelsior CHARGE battery-electric, forty-foot heavy-duty transit buses in January 2018. The MTA is North America’s largest transportation network, serving a population of 15.3 million people in the 5,000-square-mile area from New York City through Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut.

Additional New Flyer buses are anticipated to follow in Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Boston in 2018. You can read more on New Flyer’s website.
